Big changes are here, friends. En Garde is officially moving off mobile and leveling up to a shiny new web app. That means the mobile app will be going completely offline and removed from the App Store and Google Play on December 1st, 2025.

🛑 Step 1: Cancel Your Mobile Subscription

If you subscribed on the mobile app, you’ll need to cancel your subscription directly in your App Store (Apple or Google Play) before December 1st.

• Don’t cancel inside the En Garde app — that won’t be enough.
• Go to your Apple App Store or Google Play Store subscriptions page and cancel there.

Why? Because if you don’t cancel, Apple/Google will keep charging you — and we’d rather you spend that money on coffee, pizza, or literally anything else. All users, existing and non-existing, will need to create a new subscription to use EG Pro features on the web app.

✨ Step 2: Create a Brand-New Web App Account

The web app is a fresh start for everyone. Here’s what’s different:

• No more Google or Apple logins. You’ll now sign up with a username and password, stored securely on our backend.
• No match history will transfer. Everyone starts from zero. (Think of it as a competitive reset, Thanos snap style.)
• No other mobile data will carry over. This is a clean slate.

Yes, it might sting a little — but with the new tech stack, this reset sets us up for a much more stable, feature-packed future.

🎁 Step 3: Claim XP from Your Boost Passes

We know many of you stocked up on Boost Passes in the mobile app. Don’t worry — you won’t lose them. Here’s how you’ll cash them in on the web app:

1. Go to your Account page on the new web app.
2. Click “Claim XP from Boost Passes.”
3. You’ll see a warning: make sure your En Garde ID in the web app matches the one from your mobile account.
4. Once submitted, an En Garde admin will be notified.
5. The admin will cross-check your mobile and web accounts.
6. If everything matches, your Boost Passes will be converted into 250 XP each and added to your new web app account.
7. Once the transfer is complete, an admin will personally reach out to confirm your XP has landed safely.

👉 Important: This is a one-time transfer only. Once you’ve claimed your Boost Pass to XP conversion, that’s it — no repeat visits.
